High demand for poultry meat and eggs continue to drive continued growth in Mexican domestic poultry production. Imports from the United States supply the majority of Mexico’s additional needs for chicken and turkey meat for further processing, although Brazil is gaining market share by supplying frozen product under Mexico’s tariff rate quota for third countries.
