Diestel Family Ranch is in the process of reopening the former Foster Farms turkey plant in Turlock, California. The plant was closed by Foster Farms earlier in 2025, with the company saying the decision to cease operations there was based on changes in market demand and part of Foster Farms’ ongoing strategic plan.
In an email to WATT Global Media, a spokeswoman for Diestel Family Ranch said the company completed the purchase of the facility in the later part of summer, and is planning to use the plant for a wide variety of raw turkey products including ground turkey, burgers, roasts, and other raw value-added turkey products.
