Agriculture Industry Leader, Donald Ulrich, passes away

Denair, California – Donald was born in San Francisco, CA to Otto and Dorothy Ulrich and passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 88. He graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City in 1952 and from UC Davis in 1956. In 1957 he married Saralee Ritchey, who he met when they both attended college in the Sacramento area. They shared 65 years of marriage.
Don loved fishing, golfing with his friends and family, and cheering on his beloved San Francisco 49ers and Giants. He saved his greatest love and passion for his family and started many family vacation traditions that his sons carry on today. Don worked in the agriculture, feed and poultry industries for 39 years. During that time, he worked for Hess and Clark, Inc., Vineland, Inc., Niemeyer Chicken Farms and Nutrius, Inc. In 1964 he started his own almond farm in Denair and owned it until the time of his passing. Don was an industry leader in agriculture and was a past board member and president of California Feed and Grain Association in 1995. Click here for full obituary
