Despite low demand in February, values of many chicken products increased in Brazil compared to January, according to a recent market report from Cepea. Price rises are related to the good pace of chicken meat exports, since this scenario helped to reduce the domestic supply.

The average price for whole chilled chicken rose 2.4% from January to February in the wholesale market of the Greater São Paulo, to close at BRL 7.20/kg this month. For the frozen product, values increased 2.7% in the same period, to BRL 7.23/kg.
