Corn and Cobb prep for White House visit

NTF’s guests of honor have officially arrived in Washington, D.C.!

On Sunday, Corn and Cob made their grand entrance at the Willard InterContinental in Washington after a trek from their home in Walcott, Iowa. This morning, they received a formal introduction by NTF Chairman Ron Kardel during a media event where the press was invited to watch the turkeys strut their stuff. In case you missed it, NTF members can watch the livestream of the media event here.

While both turkeys are traditionally pardoned, only one will win the honor of being named the official National Thanksgiving Turkey and receive an invitation from President Trump to be presented in the Rose Garden. This 73-year tradition is one of the most anticipated holiday events, and NTF is pleased for the opportunity to once again highlight the turkey industry’s hard work and resilience despite what has been a challenging year.

The presentation will take place Tuesday, November 24, at 2 p.m. Eastern, and will be streamed through the White House social media platforms and likely televised on cable news. Be sure to tune in!
