The California Poultry Federation board of directors held its annual meeting (by Zoom) last Friday. Several items were discussed including both state and federal legislative issues as well as reports from the California Department of Agriculture, the United State Department of Agriculture, our California Food Safety Diagnostic Labs and more.

With the Covid-19 virus affecting people at home and at work, the 2020 Annual Conference was postponed until next year. This eliminated our face-to-face meetings and networking, something all of us are looking forward to again in 2021. We had selected the winners of Golden Rooster, Allied Person of the Year and Pioneer Award. The Executive Committee decided unanimously to honor those winners at next year’s conference. We also want to thank our sponsors and registrants for allowing the CPF to roll over your contributions and apply them to the 2021 Conference in Monterey. Thank you for your support in 2020.
