Former Foster Farms executive and Chairman of the Board for the California Poultry Federation, Mike Hoyt passed away early this week. He was a key member of the CPF Executive Team that lobbied and won so many legislative battles, including the elimination of taxes on poultry litter, medications in feed and hot dog casings.
“While Mike didn’t especially like lobbying in Washington, DC and Sacramento, he was one of the most effective and influential poultry leaders since the CPF reorganized in 1991,” says CPF President Bill Mattos.
