A severe winter storm over the weekend continues to impact the meat and poultry industry. Several governors throughout the United States declared a state of emergency. Poultry processor Wayne-Sanderson Farms announced that its Danville, Ark., facility would operate its first or second shift on Jan. 26.
According to the company, maintenance employees should check with their supervisors for their work schedules in Danville.
Wayne-Sanderson noted its Pendergrass, Ga., facility would not operate on Jan. 26 and there would be a 2-hour delayed start time for Jan. 27.
