Ammonia from poultry manure may be converted to animal feed

Researchers at Iowa State University are working on a way to limit ammonia accumulation in the air around poultry houses while using it to create a sustainable product. Ammonia released from poultry manure may accumulate in the atmosphere in the form of acid rain – causing algae outgrowth in ponds and lakes. Ammonia gas promotes the growth of vegetable matter due to its high concentration of nitrogen.  Read More
