AAA calls for suspension of E15 gasoline sales

Leading road travel group AAA called on the U.S. government to suspend the sale of gasoline with a higher blend of ethanol fuel, the latest opposition against increasing the use of biofuels in transport. A lack of public awareness about the risks of using 15 percent ethanol, known as E15, in older cars could cause problems for motorists, according to an AAA study published Friday.

2012 National 4-H Poultry & Egg Conference

The 2012 National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference was held  November 14-15 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville. This annual conference allows 4-Hers from all over the country to compete in educational events that help them learn to make and defend decisions, speak publicly, and gain poultry-related skills. This conference includes five separate competitive events including the Avian Bowl contest, which was won by the team from California. California egg farmers file suit against the state of California

California’s egg farmers filed suit Friday in Fresno County Superior Court seeking a determination that Proposition 2 – a law regulating egg-laying hen enclosures – is unconstitutionally vague.  The law’s lack of clarity in size and density requirements prevents egg farmers from modifying their housing facilities in time to comply with the January 1, 2015, implementation date.

The House of Representatives today passed the Russia and Moldova Jackson-Vanik Repeal Act of 2012, which repeals outdated legislation that is a roadblock to the United States taking full advantage of Russia’s ascension to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The vote of 365 to 43 would establish permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) with Russia if a similar bill is passed by the Senate and signed by the president.
