Ron Foster and Foster Farms have been awarded the School of Veterinary Medicine’s 2012 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his outstanding service as a charter member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, his legislative advocacy on behalf of the School, and the Foster Farms philanthropic support to advance the School’s missions. The award was presented October 2 at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Fall Faculty Reception 2012.

2012 NPIP Biennial Conference
The 41st NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) Biennial Conference was held last week (Sept. 25-27) in New Orleans, LA. Delegates from most of the 50 states came together for a 3-day conference to discuss proposed changes to the Program, and issues facing NPIP and the poultry industry. A half-day session of voting concluded the successful event.
