As poults are settling in at Aviagen’s new pedigree farm in West Virginia, another farm is well on its way, the company said this week. In May, Aviagen unveiled its $3.5 million facility, and turkey poults were placed in June. At the time, Aviagen president Jihad Douglas said the company must continuously invest in its infrastructure, announcing that it had purchased land and would soon start work on a third new farm.
