China investigating new H7N9 cases

Chinese authorities and the World Health Organization are investigating how three members of one family contracted the H7N9 avian influenza virus, but WHO officials still believe the infection is not spreading from humans to humans, the Wall Street Journal reported. Officials in China’s Zhejiang province confirmed the three new cases in a “family cluster” amid heightened fears about the spread of the virus heading into Lunar New Year celebrations, according to the report.  Read More
