Shelly McKee, Director of Technical Services

USA Poultry and Egg Export Council


Dr. Shelly McKee received her BS, MS and Ph.D. in Food Science from Texas A&M University. Her Ph.D. research focused on understanding the relationship of pre-mortem stress factors on the meat quality of processed turkeys. She currently is the Director of Technical Services for USA Poultry and Egg Export Council where she focuses on solving poultry meat and egg export issues to maintain global trade.  She promotes trade by facilitating communication  between our government and other trading partner governments as well as importers concerning policies and sanitary and phytosanitary standards that impact trade around the world.
Dr. McKee’s presentation will show how High Path Avian Influenza has affected exports from the U.S. to other countries, in addition to an update on the work ahead for USAPEEC.
