ghty two (82) urban chicken “farmers” attended a Backyard Flock Workshop in downtown Oakland this past Saturday, March 12. Speakers from UC Davis, UC Riverside, CAHFS lab system and a private poultry veterinarian shared their expertise in poultry behavior, pest management, biosecurity, common backyard chicken diseases and more. CPF received many positive comments from attendees regarding the content and professionalism of the event. Another urban workshop is planned for later this year.
