The first annual Northwest Chicken Council (NWCC) Reception and Conference is set in Portland, OR Nov. 6-7, 2014 at the RiverPlace Hotel in downtown Portland, according to NWCC President Bill Mattos. The reception, hosted by allied members, will begin on Thursday Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.  The breakfast meeting and conference start the next morning at 8:30 a.m.
Registration for industry and allied members is $50 per person, including spouses. Mattos said the Oregon Director of Agriculture, Katy Coba, has been invited for the keynote address. Various elected and government officials are expected at the reception and conference. Foster Farms and Draper Valley Farms are industry members and they plan to have representatives at the meeting and conference. More than 25 allied companies are also members of the NWCC.
