FSIS issues first pork salmonella compliance guideline

USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) on Monday published compliance guidelines for controlling Salmonella in hog slaughter facilities in the Federal Register.

It is the first edition of the compliance guideline for controlling Salmonella in market hogs and has been issued in the wake of several implications of pork in recent Salmonella outbreaks. Read More
