I swear this is the last blog I will pen about HIMP, a good idea that will probably get no traction now that the USDA has announced the details in the final Modernization of Poultry Inspection rule.  It was to be a bit of give and take with the poultry packers. They were to GIVE up their dollars to put plant employed sorters on the lines to replace federally paid inspectors who were basically looking for blemishes, feathers and fractures to protect the company’s brand name.  Read More
