Some schools, restaurants and foodservice providers report complaints and food waste after implementing a “Meatless Monday” menu, according to a survey conducted by the Animal Agriculture Alliance that also revealed that a significant number of institutions no longer participate in the program. One school nutritionist in Henrico County, Va., reported “overwhelming” parent complaints. The school participated in the program for about a year, according to a release from the Alliance.
