The California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) released a new fact sheet today outlining subsidy options available to Californians shopping for health coverage in the state’s Exchange, Covered California. The fact sheet illustrates two types of subsidies available for those who are eligible: premium assistance and cost-sharing subsidies. Premium assistance lowers the cost of monthly premiums for individuals earning up to $46,000 and for families earning up to $94,000 per year. Cost-sharing subsidies reduce co-pays and deductibles for individuals with annual incomes up to $29,000 and families up to $59,000 per year who enroll in a silver plan through Covered California.
