Russia bans poultry imports to punish U.S. over sanctions

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree Wednesday banning imports of agricultural products for one year from countries that impose sanctions on Russia, the Kremlin press service RIA Novasti reported.  The president tasked the government with compiling a detailed list of products that would be banned. A spokesman for the USA Poultry and Egg Council (USAPEEC) confirmed to Meatingplace that poultry is included on the list of banned food products.
