"Turkey production in Russia boomed in 2012", stated Vladimir Fisinin, President of the Russian Union of Poultry Farmers speaking at a recent conference. According Fisinin, in 2012 the industrial production of turkey meat in Russia amounted to 85,140 tonnes. The total production, involving private households, was estimated at 95,140 tonnes. Thus, over the last four years the industry almost doubled its productivity: in 2009 the country produced 43,000 tonnes of turkey, in 2010 – 64,720 tonnes, in 2011 – 68,480 tonnes.  Read More
