The Senate Committee on Appropriations on May 19 approved a $147.7 billion appropriations bill to support federal agriculture and nutrition programs in fiscal year 2017. The FY2017 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill was favorably reported out of committee and is now available for consideration before the full Senate.
