STATEMENT FROM J.S. West

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim West, Vice President of JS West Milling Co.  Sunday, March 13, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones, Jim was called home. Jim’s career in the family business began in 1958.  He was actively engaged in Pacific Egg and Poultry Association (PEPA), American Egg Board (AEB), the Western Poultry Scholarship and Research Foundation, Modesto Rotary Club, Memorial Hospital Foundation, Delta Blood Bank and Modesto Junior College Foundation.  Throughout his career, Jim was acknowledged with many honors.  Among those honors was President of PEPA in 1993, Chairman of AEB 1997, received the “Good Egg Award” in 1992, and was Industry Person of the Year in 2008. His kindness, passion and leadership will be sorely missed. Funeral Arrangements are pending and I will send a notice when they are finalized.
