Fresno State and Modesto Junior College (MJC), California higher education campuses with strong agricultural departments, recently received student recruiting grants from the USPoultry Foundation. Richie King, Foster Farms, a member of the USPoultry board of directors, presented checks totaling $13,300 to the two colleges. Accepting the checks were Michelle Ganci of Fresno State and Marlies Boyd of MJC.
More than $183,000 to six universities with poultry science departments and 14 other institutions with poultry programs. The Foundation provides annual recruiting funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs.
