Researchers at Iowa State University are working on a way to limit ammonia accumulation in the air around poultry houses while using it to create a sustainable product. Ammonia released from poultry manure may accumulate in the atmosphere in the form of acid rain – causing algae outgrowth in ponds and lakes.
